Yesterday, we told you about the Twitter/Instagram beef going on between Demi Lovato and Ashley McMullen (the tattoo artist behind Lovato’s infamous “vagina tattoo, which she recently covered up). And, as predicted, the drama was far from over.
Until last night, Lovato was holding her ground on the high road. McMullen had publicly called out Lovato for not paying for the tattoo, peeing all over their toilet seat and being a “drunk ass” who drank all their beer. Lovato only responded to McMullen’s Instagram rants by tweeting some emojis that implied that she was just laughing it off and letting it go. But apparently that was not the case.
“I wasn’t going to acknowledge your bitter Instagram comments,” Lovato wrote in a Twitlonger tweet that has since been deleted (see the screenshot below). “But since your side of the story has picked up some headlines, I would like to share my thoughts and send you a proper apology.” That sounds, sweet, doesn’t it? You can see a screenshot of the whole post below. It’s a few things, but sweet isn’t one of them.
Lovato admits to being a “drunken teenage girl” at the time, and she even apologizes for peeing on the toilet seat. Then she writes, “I apologize for making fun of your work…But…” Uh oh. There’s a “but.” That’s not how real apologies work. So we can probably assume that this drama is still not over.
Lovato also calls McMullen out for tattooing an “intoxicated teenager,” which is fair.
