National Donut Day is this Friday! Hold for applause; the round, gooey, decorated and heart-warming breakfast treat will make us smile in more ways than one because on June 5, it donut cost a dime. To celebrate the doughy goodness, Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme are giving customers free rein of their donut selection. For indecisive foodies, this could pose a major problem: glazed, Boston crème, jelly, chocolate glazed, old fashioned, strawberry frosting, chocolate frosting, vanilla frosting? The options never end. I may have to hit up multiple locations to satisfy my free cravings. Word of advice, donut count the calories if you donut count the coins. (Prepare to see donut in place of don’t for the next 48 hours.)
Now for a more serious matter: which donut depot will give out more goods, Dunkin’ or Krispy? I thought I took my loyalty to my donut supplier very seriously, but then I saw these tattoos and they set the bar pretty high. The donut has taken on a mind of its own in the tattoo industry. Unfortunately, National Donut Day doesn’t include free donut tattoos (as far as we know), but it should. Check out this list of donut tattoos to get your mouth watering early.
