Not all monsters are scary. Some are actually quite jolly, and although they may appear to be feared they’re the most lovable of the bunch. Think of them in relation to that uncle you were once too afraid to cross, so you kept on your best behavior; or your childhood best friend’s dad who was a police officer so you always feared going to his or her house for a play date. It’s only a matter of time before you realize they’re not scary in the slightest. Just as Shrek frightened Fiona, and Sulley scared Boo, these monsters were nothing more than masters of disguise… until that one special lady (or cookie) stole their heart.
