Jason Clay Lewis got our attention by tattooing this baby. It is quite the jarring image, right? The artist used the bizarre canvas he calls the “Drill Baby” to get our attention about last year’s BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico—the name comes from Sara Palin’s mantra of “drill, baby, drill.” Well, he succeeded in getting our attention, that’s for sure. After you realize that the baby is not real, and really look at the the tattoos, they are extremely tight and wonderful. The infant has an amalgam of styles on him (yes, we can tell it is a him, once you have seen all of the photos you too will know why) but our favorites are the Virgin Mary inked around his nipple and the old school sailing vessel which, in its wake you can see oil drums.
