Where Soundcloud rappers have taken to covering their face with ink – for the most part, not very good ink, and tattoo models upping the ante by going for full body coverage and the body mod crews tattooing their eyeballs we have one group of tattoo collectors (some would resent anyone referring to them as collectors) that have adopted the exact opposite philosophy…and that would be Hollywood hotties. With tattoo artists like Bang Bang and Dr. Woo leading the movement the tiny tattoo, otherwise known as a banger, is the en vogue ink on both the east and left coast.
Some critics argue, bangers are just $300-an-hour stick-and-poke. Well, I guess when you make millions, that’s just a drop in the ol’ ink bucket!
