While many thought that body mods would eventually reach their limit, the community continues to produce new and disturbing practices every year. One of the latest mods to show up on the scene is eyeball piercings, a corneal implant that is shocking even for extreme enthusiasts. While you may be familiar with Morgan Joyce as a tattoo model, she's also a successful vlogger. Since 2010, Joyce has created videos about beauty, hair, veganism, fashion, and of course, tattoos! With an impressive collection of ink, including almost two full sleeves, and well as dozens of past piercings—Joyce is one of YouTube's leading experts on body modification. She's allowed her subscribers an inside look of her body mod evolution over her eight years online and is the first to admit that her tastes have changed. This is why she decided to sew up her once 2 inch stretch ears and go forward with a new look. We caught up with Joyce to take a look at her transformation and to learn the secrets to a successful YouTube channel.
"I think I've always loved tattoos," Afzal shares in a recent interview with the Huffington Post. 26 year old Shanzey Afzal is making a name for herself by paving a way for women in the male dominated tattoo world. Shantey's love of tattoos sprouted from doing henna tattoos. A prominet part of her Pakistani culture.
“Doing henna made me love the permanence of tattoos,” she said. “I would always put lemon juice and honey to make the stain darker and make it stay longer and fade slower.”
Shanzey's love for henna led bigger aspirations to bloom, which led her to start working as a tattoo artist when she was 21. She began a tattoo apprenticeship with two male advisers after leaving a job in the music industry in 2013.

In 2015, Ink Master season 6 introduced us to tattooer Katie McGowan. McGowan competed on the show with her mentor, Matt O'Baugh, finishing in 8th place. She later returned with O'Baugh to compete again on season 10, Shop Wars, with the pair completing in second at the live finale. And while fans were impressed by McGowan's tattooing ability at the season 10 finale, all eyes were on her incredible physical transformation. Between wrapping filming and tattooing live in New York city, McGowan had lost an impressive amount of weight. And when she appeared on Ink Master: Angels in her home state of Arkansas, audiences saw even more progress. We caught up with the tattooer to learn why she decided to make a change and how being on television impacted her self-perception.
